For as long as I have been coming out east, I’ve been seeing Judith Desiree. She is a gem of a human being, and her talent when it comes to keeping skin heathy, tight, and hydrated, is unparalleled on the east-end. She recently opened up her new spa in Sag Harbor, creating a charming, serene environment for her treatments, where I typically dose off into deep sleep! Judy has become a dear friend. She has lived in the Hamptons for a lifetime, and is a great reliable source for me personally. Her techniques with Biologique Recherche are always innovative, and she always has the most updated equipment. In the summer time, when my skin is particularly dehydrated, she keeps me glowing, and I’m so grateful she is here. Book her ASAP as her schedule is already almost at capacity.
How many years have you been in business in the Hamptons?
I have been in business for 21 years.
How did you get your start and what was your initial inspiration?
As a young girl, I was involved in a serious car accident, and as a result, had to undergo plastic surgery. From that time forward, and as part of the mental and emotional healing process, I became inspired to make it my mission to help other women be as beautiful as they can be.
What do you feel differentiates you from others in your field?
I believe my services are specialized, what I provide is more than skin deep. It’s more of a thérapie, it involves all aspects of my client’s emotional well being at the time of treatment. My approach is to focus on whole health, as we all know, the skin is the largest organ.
What do you feel gives you longevity in the Hamptons with so many options?
Born and raised a Hampton’s native, I have an established and loyal clientele. Thrilled to have recently relocated my practice to my hometown of Sag Harbor where I have a private facial suite hidden in the village off of Main Street. 39 Division Street fulfills my vision as my flagship location; however, staying true to my roots, I’m right where I always wanted to be and will only grow from here.
How do you positively impact your clientele?
By boosting self-confidence and helping my clients restore and maintain vibrant skin along with a healthy “glow.” Our skin is our first line of defense and takes abuse in so many ways. It thrills me to watch a client leaving my treatment room with a big smile and their head held higher than when they walked in.
What is your favorite part of your job?
Aside from the joy I receive working on a client's skin, I would have to say the people I meet. I have met and developed relationships with so many through the years. The intimate nature of my career offers no room for complacency and allows me serenity one client at a time.
What is your favorite secret Hamptons spot?
The Plaza Café.
How do you benefit mamas?
Mamas give out so much TLC, so I like to return the favor by making them look and certainly feel their best.
What is the most memorable feedback a client has given you?
A client once said to me "I am so glad you dedicated a large portion of your life in understanding the extreme challenges of my skin, without you, my life would be that much more difficult."
Pay it forward and name your top colleagues in the same field or related field.
Dr. Elliot Weiss of Laser & Skin Surgery of New York.
What is the best advice anyone's ever given you? Or what is your "mantra" / words to live by?
“If you have good thoughts they will shine out of your face like sunbeams and you will always look lovely." - Roald Dahl
As moms, the day can escape us, what is your best time-saving trick?
Skip the morning cleanse! If your skin needs a morning “pick-me-up”, use a refreshing hydrating facial mist or cool water. Your routine night time cleanse removes excess oil, dirt, environmental pollutants and make-up from a busy day.
