As someone who loves a natural look for day, but also wants to look flawless, finding a lightweight all over foundation is key. A product that covers uneven skin tone but that looks like nothing is on my skin. I love a full face product that I can build with covering imperfections when needed and leaving other spots more sheer. After much trial and error, I can say I’ve narrowed it down to three great products that work morning to night depending the amount of coverage I desire.
From lightest to fuller coverage here they are:
1. It Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC+ Cream with SPF 50+. This award-winning product definitely has my vote too! It is a medium coverage foundation that blends into the skin flawlessly. Not only does it color correct and cover minor imperfections, but it has tons of benefits for your face. For starters, I love the high SPF, many of my daily products leave my skin susceptible to sun damage. Generally speaking, I’m not a fan of creams with SPF in them because my skin always look greasy from them. Not the case with this one. I’m left with a slight glow that I enjoy for the day and it easily disappears with a light dust of powder. It’s also infused with anti-aging serum containing collagen, peptides, hypotonic acid, antioxidants, and vitamin A, B, C, and E. All of this works to reduce the look of fine lines and brighten the skin. I must add that I see added hydration and shrunken pores while I’m using it. Two things that make me so happy. It is not a heavy coverage at all, but for a darker spot I can easily pat an extra dot on a spot to conceal it a little more. This is my absolute favorite foundation for a morning or day look when natural and glowing is what I’m going for. It’s incredibly easy to apply using your fingers gently applying like a lotion, making it good for anyone that’s not comfortable with makeup. I would recommend this for normal to dry skin and note that a little goes a long way! Shop this product at www.sephora.com
2. Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation. I love this foundation so much I have it in multiple shades so every season I have it available to me. The application truly feels like a silky water gliding over my skin weightlessly. While it has a touch more coverage it is also considered a medium. This foundation is formulated with their exclusive Micro-fill technology that brightens, improves texture and blurs imperfections. It’s extremely moisturizing heightening your natural beauty leaving you glowing yet with more of a matte finish. Again, I just use my fingers to apply because I find that skin to skin warms up the product allowing it to move around easier creating a more natural look but by using a beauty blender or a brush would give significantly more coverage. It feels like a second skin as it doesn’t gather in fine lines or dry patches. It comes in 24 shades so anyone can find their perfect match, or you can just buy them all like me. 3. Last but definitely not least is Chantecaille Future Skin. This is an oil-free gel foundation with adjustable coverage. You can layer on areas that need more because it is so hydrating and won’t cake up and you will still look natural and flawless. This is yet another award winner and a fan favorite of makeup artists due to the light-reflecting pigments that blur the appearance of flaws. Future Skin is infused with Natto Gum and phyto-collagen which not only hydrates skin but also prevents further loss of hydration. Since this foundation is made with gel and not oil as an emulsifier and is composed of 60% charged water it is suitable for all skin types, not adding oil to oily skin and hydrating dryer skin. I would call this a medium to full coverage due to how buildable it is. I generally wear it in the evenings unless I need a lot of help that day! Shop this product at www.barneys.com
