You are an inspiration. You wear so many hats, have multiple businesses, three children, and a husband! How do you manage juggling these aspects of your life? How do you make it all work?
Every day, I write down 3-5 priorities; things that must get done by the end of the day, even if nothing else does. Throughout the day, I get pulled into meetings and my inbox fills up, but I make an effort to stay focused on my goals before letting other tasks distract me. I also work really hard to be present wherever I am—if I'm at work, I'm focused on work and when I'm at home, all of my attention is on my family.
How do you carve out “me” time? And how do you like to spend this time?
Every morning, I wake up super early so that I can exercise or meditate, shower, catch up on the news and emails and get ready for the day—all before my kids wake up. With a new baby, those quiet hours in the morning (not always a given!) are the best chance for me to take care of myself before diving into the day.
What are your favorite children’s books?
Goodnight, Goodnight, Construction Site! I love reading this book to Arabella and Joseph before bed. It gives them an approachable, adorable peek into the family business.
What are the core values you hope to instill in your children?
I hope to impart to them the importance of passion and commitment. I want them to know that they can do anything they believe in and are willing to work hard for.
