How many years have you been in business in NYC?
We’ve been in NYC for the past 8 years.
How did you get your start and what was your initial inspiration?
One of the Track and Field owner is a marathon runner and is very passionate about sports. Him and 2 more friends wanted to create a brand that was not only fashion but could also bring great technology and comfort for people that are looking to perform better.
What do you feel differentiates you from others in your field?
Uniqueness. Every 6 months we change our entire collection and most of our items are also very limited. Every Monday we have a new launch in the store.
What do you feel gives you longevity in this big city with so many options?
High quality products, being super unique and also having a one to one type of costumer service.
How do you positively impact your clientele?
I try to keep myself in shape and I also try to be part of the local community. Support the local business and workout around the area in the small studios. I normally try them out and put the word out there to my clientele.
What is your favorite part of your job?
The favorite part of my job is to be able to interact to people. Every client that walks in has a different story to tell and a different concern. It makes me happy to be able to listen to them and also be able to help them find the best clothes that fit their type of body. Seeing their smile and excitement to go workout is priceless.
What is your favorite secret NYC spot?
It might not be that secret since it was feature in a big magazine a couple weeks ago, but I love Sant Ambroeus. Highly recommend their hot chocolate for the cold afternoons. It is delicious!
How do you benefit mamas?
Most of our clients are moms. I believe that wearing our brand benefits them because they are not only comfortable to work out, but they are also looking good to be able to be running errands, picking up the kids at school and also grab a coffee with a friend during the day. It is the new trend that we are following: Athleisure.
What is the most memorable feedback a client has given you?
I believe that all the feedbacks are welcome and we try to improve ourselves everyday based on them. In general, we love hearing that they get a lot of compliments while working out or when they come back with friends and help us to spread the word. Having our regular clients coming back every week fills up our hearts because it makes us believe that we are doing something right :)
Pay it forward and name your top colleagues in the same field or related field:
Katy Kauffan from the P.E. Club and Erika Fleischer from Exhale Upper East Spa
What is the best advice anyone's ever given you? Or what is your "mantra" / words to live by?
Don’t make decisions when you are angry. Don’t make promises when you are happy.
As moms, the day can escape us, what is your best time-saving trick?
Definitely online shopping. I shop online for clothes and groceries and it saves me a lot of time.
