How many years have you been in business in NYC?
12 years
How did you get your start and what was your initial inspiration?
I had a tumultuous upbringing that lead to a series of three strong tragedies when I was 17, at that moment I chose to model my life not by what has happened to me but by how I choose to create it. I began a disciplined yoga and meditation practice which lead me to studying Reiki in Thailand, which led me to opening my own yoga studio and healing center in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. At that time I met my teacher an Amazonian Shaman from Peru who I trained with for 5 years and then his teacher for another 3 years traveling back and forth from NYC to the Peruvian Amazon to study, learn and eventually receive my initiation as a Shaman in that lineage. Shortly after receiving my initiation, I channeled the formula for Medicine Readings™ and Medicine Reading Ceremonies, an integrated offering of the medicine I've experienced on a personal level.
What do you feel differentiates you from others in your field?
I've had a proper shamanic apprenticeship and am offering something completely unique to me as a way to celebrate all paths of healing that I've walked.
What do you feel gives you longevity in this big city with so many options?
New Yorkers have a very keen sense for authenticity and I believe that my approachability and confidence in my work has lead my clients to feel comfortable enough to uncover their truths with me.
How do you positively impact your clientele?
By encouraging them to find the medicine, balance and beauty in their own unique soul and helping to clear out any spiritual clutter that could be blocking them from living an empowered life.
What is your favorite part of your job?
That as I am facilitating a Medicine Reading I'm also receiving one.
What is your favorite secret NYC spot?
Caravan of Dreams
How do you benefit mamas?
As a mother myself I try to represent that you can be a busy, working mom and still make time for self care, even if that means bringing your child into a ritual bath with you!
What is the most memorable feedback a client has given you?
Recently, I bumped into a client who said "all of my dreams are coming true, just like you said they would." This made my heart so happy to hear and see.
Pay it forward and name your top colleagues in the same field or related field:
